I was an international student in the UK and studied for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance. It was whilst I was a student that I realised the potential business opportunity within secondary education to recruit Chinese students. I founded Gateway Education in 2004 and subsequently expanded the business to the US in 2010.

I have personally built key strategic relationships, and managed the expanding Gateway operations in China, the UK, and US, thereby helping hundreds of schools break into new markets and enrol over 5000 students through the Gateway platform of programmes.

In 2017, I realised that the international student recruitment market was changing and appreciated potential synergies in developing further the fast growing business. As part of the Gateway expansion strategy, and to further broaden services, I partnered with A-Star Education (formerly ChangedEdu) , a global education platform backed by Verlinvest.
